I created these large charcoal drawings of microscopic landscapes, inspired by microscopic images of bark, plant organisms and fungi. They may seem abstract because they are unrecognizable to the human eye, yet they are observational drawings of microscopic images. I was interested in the way these microscopic images looked like small abstract worlds/landscapes.
